Today we are going to look at 3D Printing, cool memes, what a QR code does and how it works and a wind turbine for motorways. I've adding a new section that you might like. I hope you enjoy.
The first topic is 3D printing. There are many types of 3D printers. They require a little bit of knowledge to create your own things as you have to slice it and lots of other things however there are some tutorials on YouTube and other places that walk you through using them and also using other people’s models that you can get online. They are a very useful because you could print things like customizable tables such as the video here. There are lots of other more abstract things that can be printed like houses. The images below show how this works.

This is how it works.
There is a container full of concrete that is piped to the printer which makes the house. Usually the walls on the outside and the inside are different so that there is a gap in between. This is because then there could be thick multi-level windows and there can be insulation in between.

Now, QR Codes.
They are very interesting things. Firstly, your phone or device can detect QR codes but how. There are aspects of the QR code that can be detected by cameras. The image below shows the parts of the QR code and what they are.
The Position Pattern is the part of the code that all or most cameras can recognise and tell them that it is a QR code. The alignment pattern however is the part that tells the camera what the orientation of the code is. It does this by measuring the distance between the position pattern and the alignment pattern.
The version info tells the camera what type of QR code it is because there are multiple types. Just a few of them are :

Google Maps Codes
The format info tells the camera what format of QR Code it is. There is lots more to know about QR Codes but to find out more, you can find many videos on YouTube. My recommendation is one by Veritasium. You can find the video here. There are aspects that were not covered in this article because I am not sure about them.

This months game is Satisfactory. It is a game about going to a new world and creating big factories to survive. I really like this game and the graphics are just amazing. There are lots of cool creatures such as the ones below.

The final section of this months newsletter is a wind turbine for motorways?
Yes. There has been an invention used on Turkish motorways that takes advantage of the high speeds of people on motorways. The invention is called ENLİL and it was created by a company called Deveci Tech. The contraption consists of a wind turbine in the middle and a solar panel on the top so it will produce power all throughout clear days and even more when cars are driving past.
