Are you ready for this month’s GOTM, with some of Neom’s ideas, some more of the surprise and “Is the Online Safety Act completely a good thing?“. This month, im starting with the GOTM for a change!
This month’s GOTM is called Stardew Valley. You may have heard of it as it is a very popular game. It is a pixelated game made by Eric Barone. It is a very big game spanning across 13 different platforms that can be found here and it is very cool. To see more, go to the official website. stardewvalley.net

It is such a big game that they have also manufactured their own board game.

Next, Neom is the topic. Neom might not be a recognised name however you might recognise the name “The Line, Saudi Arabia“. Neom are the company that are building The Line along with many other feats of engineering such as The Oxagon. Many people thought that The Line was impossible however, Neom claims they make the impossible, possible which is even portrayed in the idea of The Line, and the building. Neom started to build something a while ago however not many people have been aware of it. They have started what people are calling the “Mini Line“ and things similar because they are only building a small section and not even the whole thing. You can see an image of the full design of the line below.

Now for the more of the surprise. Instead of images, I am revealing the name of the game. The name is The Great Red Button. i have been making it in python and I have an even bigger surprise for next week. I cant really tell you much more.

Now is a controversial topic. In the UK, you may be familiar with the new “Online safety act“. This is a great law that you can read more about here. In my personal opinion, it is great, partially. This is, although it says “take down illegal content“, it also states that “Platforms will be required to prevent children from accessing harmful and age-inappropriate content…“ This is alright apart from the flaws. Let me give you a for instance: A 16 year old (child under the online safety act) needs to research some content for an essay. I am sorry to use this as an example however this could be a real life problem. By their law, a topic such as the holocaust could be “harmful“ or “age-inappropriate“ however it may be needed for an essay or something as such. Please do not think I mean that this law is bad. I actually believe that this law is amazing in the sense that it helps one main problem in the uk. Under-age citizens watching pornography. I am however saying that is badly worded and should include the exact wording to restrict pornography.
